The symposium "PHAGES-sur-Yvette" will be held on November 20th and 21st 2017 at the Institute for Integrative Biology of the Cell (I2BC), on the CNRS campus of Gif-sur-Yvette. After Montpellier-2015 and Marseille-2016, this meeting is the third colloquium on phages organized by the French multidisciplinary network PHAGES.fr, which aims at bringing together teams involved in bacteriophage research from France but also from abroad. Keynote lectures will be given by several invited international speakers who are expert in bacteriophages.
The scientific program will give an overview of current phage research and will foster the scientific interactions between teams working in various and complementary fields:
- Host-phage molecular interactions
- Ecology and Evolution
- Applications: Therapy and Biotechnology
Invited speakers:
Abram Aersten, KU Leuven
Sylvain Moineau, Laval University, Québec
José Penadés, University of Glasgow
NB : oral communications and posters will be presented in English
